Our Journey: From Hobby to Home Store

We opened Samsara on May 31st, 2014, after Alex left the corporate world. Juan Carlos’ furniture refurbishing hobby was expanding quickly out of our home, and clients started asking, “where is your store?” This was the beginning of our storefront in downtown Parkville MO.

When deciding on what to call our store, we discovered the Sanskrit ‘Samsara,’ which means the continuation of things in life – in other words, “the circle of life”. So, with the old furniture Juan Carlos brought back to life, we knew Samsara was the perfect name and concept. After nine years, the store has evolved to include new designer and seasonal decor, vintage, antiques.

Our products include home accessories, furniture, seasonal florals and decor, lighting, artwork, local hand-crafted candles, pottery, area rugs, custom florals and much more. We also offer interior design services, home remodeling and seasonal decorating.

What sets us apart is the personalized services that we offer to make sure our clients are satisfied with the final product.
